Penn State York’s honored its student athletes and coaches at the 44th annual Athletic Awards Banquet Thursday, April 9, at Heritage Hills Golf Resort & Conference Center, York, Pennsylvania. The 2014-15 athletic teams had successful seasons with most of them making it to the playoffs.
Highlights of the season included the Penn State York men’s basketball team again capturing the Penn State Athletic Conference (PSUAC) championship title, a three-peat, and Parrish Petry, Red Lion, Pennsylvania, head men’s basketball coach, being named Coach of the Year in his sport for the second year in a row. Three men’s basketball players passed the 1,000 points scored in their college careers – Joshua Jamison, of Cockeysville, Maryland; Logan Steckel, of York, Pennsylvania; and Tyler Martin, of York, Pennsylvania. All three players were a part of the three championship teams.
