Robert L. Frisco, 83, of Clearfield died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Mr. Frisco was born Jan. 2, 1932 in McCartney, the son of James and Bertha (Waroquier) Frisco.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War.

Mr. Frisco had worked construction as an equipment operator. He was then employed with Penelec at the Shawville Plant until his retirement in 1994.

He was Protestant by faith.

Mr. Frisco was a life member of the Philipsburg Elks.

He was a dedicated Little League coach from 1965 until 1972. He coached the Harbison Walker and Clearfield Little League All-Star teams.

Mr. Frisco enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and dirt track racing. He most enjoyed and was dedicated to his family. He was a superb and gentle husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Rhone) Frisco, to whom he was married March 3, 1956.

He is survived by four children, Rodney L. Frisco and his wife, Deb of Enola, Randy E. Frisco of Clearfield, Diane R. Forcey and her husband, David of Smithmill and Michael R. Frisco of DuBois and a daughter-in-law, Merrianne C. Frisco of Woodland.

He is also survived by six grandchildren, Dusten Frisco and his fiancée, Kyle of Clearfield, Jesse Forcey of Pittsburgh, Melanie Frisco Rossman and her husband, Kyle of Florida, Abbey Frisco, Halle Frisco and Noelle Frisco, all of Enola; three great-grandchildren, Caden Frisco, Couper Frisco and Jaxen Frisco; two sisters, Dolores Smith of Fort Collins, Colo., and Elnora Gloss of Sliver Springs, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Frisco was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert L. “Rob” Frisco II on June 15, 2009; and
four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. Dr. Joleen Willis officiating. Burial will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Clearfield Honor Guard.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home.
