Levetta J. (Meek) “Betty” Baughman, 97, of Osceola Mills died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her home.
Born June 28, 1917 in (Twigg Settlement) Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Wiliamina (Spatzer) Meek.
She married Lester M. “Stump” Baughman on July 6, 1938 in Osceola Mills; he preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1994,
Mrs. Baughman was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Osceola Mills and the Osceola Mills Civic Club. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Phillip Dixon; two sisters; six brothers; two close nieces, Leona Drochak and Rosalie Britton; and a great-niece, Evelyn Drochak.
Mrs. Baughman is survived by four daughters, Florence Johnson and her husband, Robert of Lockport, NY, Dorothy Keith and her husband, Lon and Bonnie Friday and her husband, Conrad, both of Osceola Mills, and Sally Dixon of Philipsburg; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a close niece, Christine Showers; and several other nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. William Murphy officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
