State police at Clearfield
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred April 3 on Evergreen Drive in Beccaria Township. During the incident, someone allegedly operated an off-the-road vehicle on the victim’s property, which damaged the lawn. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were dispatched to a vehicle accident in the area of South Third Street and Ogden Avenue. Further, a male driver failed to stop and impacted a vehicle traveling on Ogden Avenue. No injuries were reported; however, one vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Police were dispatched to a parking complaint along East Market Street. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival to the scene.
- Police are investigating an alleged incident of harassment in which a female has been receiving unwanted messages.
- Police were contacted by a resident who allegedly received a text message about a possible scam. She did not reply to the message and contacted police.
- Police were dispatched to East Market Street where a motorist had locked keys in their vehicle. Police were able to gain entry into the vehicle.
- Police were dispatched to East Walnut Street for a noise complaint. Police made contact with the resident who apologized and turned the music down for the night.
- Police were dispatched to South Second Street where a tractor-trailer had pulled lines down and caused a traffic hazard. Police and emergency personnel responded and discovered that upon the trailer snagging the lines it had also pulled down three, separate poles, including two light poles and a traffic control signal. Police assisted other agencies during the night with providing traffic control at the intersection of Second and Market streets.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about littering on Firetower and Clover Hill roads.
- Police received a report about littering on Clover Hill and Bloom roads.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam.
- Police received a report about lost keys from a township resident.
- Police served a warrant and transported the person to the jail.
- Police were dispatched for a fire alarm at the Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute at a local residence.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm at CNB Bank on Wednesday.
- Police received a report that a 16-year-old Penfield girl was driving a vehicle without a license on Wednesday. Police located the vehicle and discovered that girl had been driving and an 18-year-old vehicle owner was a passenger. The girl stated she was driving because the owner had been drinking. Charges were filed against both, police said.
- Employees of Midway Drive In reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill for the purchase of an order of food on Wednesday.
- A 34-year-old Wilcox man reported seeing someone hiding in the bushes on South Eighth Street on Thursday. When police located the caller, they found him to be disoriented, acting erratically and showing signs of being under the influence. The man was transported to Penn Highlands to be evaluated before being taken to jail on a 48-hour detainer. There was no evidence of anyone hiding in the woods, police said.
- A 51-year-old man called police from Lowe’s on Thursday, saying his roommate was missing. Upon arrival police determined the man was under the influence and his roommate was not missing. He was released to his mother.
- On Thursday, a 24-year-old South Main Street resident sold a fish tank online and the buyer sent her a counterfeit money order for an amount higher than the price. She recognized this as a scam and reported it to police.
