Paul Gallo Jr., 96, of Philipsburg died Monday, April 6, 2015 at his residence.
Born April 19, 1918, he was the son of the late Paul Sr. and Mary (Guy) Gallo.
He married the former Elizabeth (Betty) Richards on Nov. 19, 1949 in Philipsburg. She survives in Philipsburg.
Mr. Gallo was affiliated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Philipsburg.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a mechanic with the General Cigar factory in Philipsburg for 30 years until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary, Sue and Ann and three brothers, John, Andrew and Michael. He was the last of his generation.
Along with his wife, Mr. Gallo is survived by two daughters, Michal M. “Shelly” Mease and her husband, Terry S. and Lisa M. Sievers and her husband, Alfred “Al” C. Jr., both of Philipsburg; two sons, Wayne B. Gallo of Jersey City, NJ and Paul J. Gallo II and his wife, Marianne of Middletown; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
