Community Action Holding Winter Coat Drive

CLEARFIELD – The Central Pennsylvania Community Action (CPCA) is seeking donations of gently used winter coats and accessories for its Coat Closet.

The Coat Closet accepts donations of winter coats and accessories and then distributes them to children and adults in need. The Coat Closet accepts donations year-round.

Donations will be used to supplement the needs of the Coat Closet. Coat donations of all sizes are needed, especially children’s sizes from infant to teenager and men’s and women’s large, 1x, 2x, and 3x sizes.

Coats, accessories or monetary donations can be dropped off at the CPCA office on 207 E. Cherry St., Clearfield. Large donations may be picked up by CPCA staff.  For any questions or to schedule an appointment, please contact Bonnie at 814-765-1551 or 800-822-2610, Ext. 1112.

Last year, CPCA’s Coat Closet was able to help 70 children and 83 adults for a total of 153 individuals through donations from the community. Though the other services, the CPCA served more than 15,700 unduplicated individuals through its vast array of services.

The CPCA’s primary services includes housing services, weatherization, rental housing, case management, food services, heating and utility assistance, employment assistance and training, consumer information and referral and transportation services.  The CPCA’s mission is “Strengthening our communities by helping families and individuals in Centre and Clearfield counties to become self-sufficient.”
