A dog team from Canine Aided Emergency Search and Rescue works together with the swift water rescue crew form Treasure Lake Volunteer Fire Department Sunday. Dog and boat crews spent several hours searching the river for 74-year-old James Coons. Coons left his home March 12 and has not returned.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office March 23, Richard Supenia, 51, 8 ½ N. Church St., DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with false identification to law enforcement and theft by deception.

HORTON TOWNSHIP – State police at Ridgway have released details regarding an alleged dispute that resulted in attempted suicides Monday night in Horton Township.

Charges Held for Court in Ware’s Drug Case

OSCEOLA MILLS – State police at Clearfield have reported that a shooting incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday outside of the Osceola Mills Veterans of Foreign Wars post at 613 Lingle St.

CLEARFIELD – A search for a missing 74-year-old Clearfield man, James Coons, has turned into a recovery mission, announced Joe Bigar, director of the Clearfield County Emergency Services Department, at a press briefing Thursday.
