Penn State DuBois Veterans Announce 5K Run, 1-Mile Walk to Benefit Wounded Warriors

DUBOIS – The Penn State DuBois Veterans Club will host a 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk this month to Benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

The event is planned for April 18, at the Beaver Meadow Walkway in DuBois.  Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the run slated for 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The Wounded Warrior Project’s vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in the nation’s history.  The organization provides various forms of assistance to injured service members, and provides direct programs and services to meet the needs of those veterans.

Entry fee for the 5K is a $15 donation if paid by April 13, and $20 if paid on or after April 14.  The fee for the walk is $10 if payment is made by April 13, and $15 on or after April 14.

The team fee is $2 per person for teams of three or more.

Checks should be made payable to Penn State DuBois, and may be mailed to Sueann Doran at 1 College Pl., DuBois, PA, 15801.
