John C. Kephart, 67, a resident of the ARC of Centre County, State College, died Friday, March 27, 2015.
Born Nov. 13, 1947 in Washington, Pa., he was a son of the late John F. and Eleanor Jean (Jones) Kephart.
He had been employed with SKILLS and Weis Market.
He was a board member of the ARC and a member of the Nittany Lion Fan Club. He was an avid fan of Penn State football, Pittsburgh Pirates and NASCAR, especially Dale Jarrett.
He is survived by a brother, Gary Kephart and his wife, Tami of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two nephews, Alex Kephart and Nicklaus Kephart, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; an aunt, Marie Jones Henderson of Philipsburg; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an uncle, Charles “Bud” Jones.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 17 at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at the funeral home.
