Eileen Withey Weaver, 43, of Bluemont, Va., and formerly of Curwensville, died Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Fairfax Hospital in Virginia.

Born Aug. 7, 1971 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Richard and Zoe Long Withey of Olanta.

She was a graduate of the Curwensville Area High School. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

She was employed by Human Technology in McClean, Va. as a program manager.

On Oct. 8, 2005, she married her soulmate, Jim Weaver. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Emily, on Sept. 24, 2008.

She was an active member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Sterling, Va. Also, she was very active in her daughter, Emily’s school and her many activities.

She had a love of life that was infectious to all who were fortunate enough to be around her. This love included all four-footed creatures, as well.

She was involved in animal rescues and a board member of the Gingersnap Girls Foundation Equine Sanctuary. She will be sadly missed by so many who loved her.

She is survived by her husband, James Weaver, and their daughter, Emily, both of Bluemont, Va.; her parents, Richard and Zoe Withey of Olanta; and her brother, Paul Withey and his wife, Jennifer of Columbia, Pa.

She is also survived by her uncle, Robert Withey of Clearfield; her sister-in-law, Sandy Weaver of Dallas, Texas; and her sister-in-law, Lee Ann Jakubik and her husband, Dennis of Brownstown, Mich., and their children, Nicole and Sam.

She was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandparents and both her mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Services were held Tuesday, March 31 at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Sterling, Va.

Family and friends will also be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home in Clearfield.

A private, family burial will be held at the Bloomington Cemetery in Curwensville.

However, the family would like to extend an invitation for friends to attend a 12 p.m. luncheon on Friday at the Glen Richey Fire Hall.
