Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a person at Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of assault in the East End area.
Curwensville Borough
- Police located a female at the Curwensville Commons for whom there was a 302 warrant. Police transported the female to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance at a Pine Street residence. Further, police found it was a verbal argument that occurred between parties.
- Police assisted a motorist in the parking area of Ridgeview Elder Care.
- Police received a report about an alleged disturbance at a James Street residence. Further, police found a male who was allegedly intoxicated was engaging in an argument with his mother.
- Police received a report about vehicles being damaged in the VFW parking area.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a man who was allegedly panhandling Wednesday in the 100 block of North Main Street. The man was gone upon police arrival in the area; police were unable to locate anyone matching his description.
- On Thursday, a 17-year-old DuBois boy contacted police after he was allegedly threatened by a known person in the 300 block of West Long Avenue. The boy told police that the suspect threatened to assault him; the incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Reynoldsville boy was waiting to pull out from Hand Street, while a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Treasure Lake woman was traveling south on Brady Street. The woman had her turn signal activated, and her vehicle appeared to be slowing to turn onto Hand Street when the boy’s vehicle pulled out. The woman’s vehicle continued on South Brady Street and hit the boy’s vehicle. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
- A caretaker discovered a 54-year-old man in a vacant home on Behringer Highway on Wednesday. The man reported he was homeless and discovered the front door of the residence unlocked so he was staying there. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield County Jail, police said.
- A 28-year-old Sykesville man and a 30-year-old Crown City, Ohio man were allegedly caught by Wal-Mart employees switching the price tags on items before checking out on Thursday. The two were also allegedly seen on security video taking items from the store previously. Both were taken into custody, police said.
- On Thursday Wal-Mart’s Loss Prevention Officer reported an employee had purchased a used video game and then exchanged it for the new version of the game. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- On Thursday Wal-Mart employees turned in a counterfeit $100 bill that was used at the store.
- Police responded to a Treasure Lake residence for a welfare check after county control received a 911 hang up call Thursday from the residence. The call turned out to be a mistake, police said.
- Sears employees reported a 17-year-old employee of the store had taken $1,120 from the cash register over several months. Charges were filed as a result, police said.
