A manhunt is underway for a suspect after a San Jose police officer was killed Tuesday night while responding to a report of a suicidal man, authorities said.
“When officers arrived on scene, they were met with gunfire,” said Albert Morales, a spokesman for the San Jose Police Department.
“At this time, officers have the location surrounded in all directions as they attempt to locate the suspect.”
Armored vehicles from various agencies will be sent to the scene.
