Assistant director Gregory Drane to lead Blue Band

Gregory Drane, assistant director of athletic bands at Penn State, has been named director of athletic bands at the University — including the Marching Blue Band — for a two-year term, effective July 1, 2015. Drane, who holds a master’s degree in music education from Penn State, has been part of the Athletic Bands staff and an instructor in the School of Music since 2005. He will take over the position from longtime director O. Richard Bundy, who retires in June.
