State police at Clearfield
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on Logan Street just west of state Route 970 in Decatur Township. During the incident, a 59-year-old Osceola Mills man was stopped for a traffic violation and allegedly determined to be under the influence of alcohol.
- An accident occurred Friday on Deer Creek Road in Graham Township. Roger L. McGonigal and Robert A. Timblin, both of Frenchville, were traveling in the southbound lane. The Timblin commercial vehicle was traveling at about 20 miles per hour and plowing the roadway. The McGonigal vehicle was approaching from behind at about 30 miles per hour and unable to slow down on the snow-covered roadway due to unsafe tires. The McGonigal vehicle subsequently struck the rear of the Timblin vehicle; both came to a rest blocking the southbound lane. McGonigal was cited for the accident, state police said.
- A vehicle fire occurred Monday on Henderson Street in Woodward Township. Amanda D. McGarvey of Madera was traveling south when her vehicle caught fire. She drove her vehicle onto the west berm; it was totally destroyed by the fire. McGarvey wasn’t injured as a result. State police were assisted at the scene by the Houtzdale Fire Company.
State police at DuBois
- An accident occurred Friday on Reynoldsville – Falls Creek Road in Winslow Township. Garrett A. Randolph, 21, of DuBois was traveling north when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. His vehicle traveled off the roadway and impacted a tree. Randolph sustained minor injuries as a result; he was cited for the accident, state police said.
- An accident occurred Friday on the Reynoldsville – Falls Creek Road in Winslow Township. William A. Degolier of DuBois lost control of his vehicle on the slush/snow-covered roadway. His vehicle reportedly lost traction and struck an embankment on the west side of the roadway. Afterward, it continued north across the roadway, where it struck a guiderail on the east side; it went over the guiderail and came to a final rest. Degolier wasn’t injured as a result of the accident, state police said.
- An incident of harassment occurred Monday on Hemlock Road in Brady Township. During the incident, two people allegedly became involved in a minor domestic incident in which they pushed each other. Both will be cited for the incident, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Feb. 14 on North Ninth Street in Philipsburg Borough. The victim ordered three DVDs from Amazon and had them mailed to her residence. State police said it is currently unknown if either the DVDs were stolen from the victim’s front porch, or if the DVDs were delivered to the wrong address. The DVDs are valued at $47.67, state police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on Skytop Mountain Road in Patton Township. State police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by a 31-year-old woman; the woman was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court pending blood/alcohol test results, state police said.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of harassment occurred Saturday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Jay Township. During the incident, a 20-year-old St. Marys woman allegedly followed the victim repeatedly and refused to leave him alone, a course of conduct that didn’t serve any legitimate purpose. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
- An incident of harassment occurred March 18 on Shawmut Road in Horton Township. During the incident, a Brockport male allegedly pushed the victim to the ground. He was charged for the incident through the district court, state police said.
- An incident of harassment occurred Sunday on Kennedy Street in Jay Township. During the incident, a known 78-year-old man allegedly subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact. He will be cited through the district court, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were called to Spruce Street for a male who was allegedly on the caller’s outside staircase. The male fled when the owner’s dog started to bark. Police searched the area and were unable to locate anyone.
- Police responded to West Front Street for a vehicle being operated with children who were in the backseat and not buckled properly. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an alleged assault of a child. However, police found that the assault had taken place in another jurisdiction.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief involving an automobile. During the incident, someone allegedly slashed the tires of a vehicle while it was parked along Reed Street. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police responded to the area of Margaretta and South Third streets for two dogs that were running loose. During the search, police said the owners arrived and took the dogs.
- Police assisted a motorist along North Front Street after their vehicle had become disabled. While offering assistance, police allegedly found a bag of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
- Police arrested a female for suspicion of DUI after she was stopped along Nichols Street for a traffic violation.
- Police were called to assist Lawrence Township police with a domestic situation involving a male who had fled the scene.
- Police were called to Zimmerman Avenue for a disorderly conduct incident. Upon arrival police found that two males had engaged in a verbal altercation but were speaking civilly.
- Police were notified about a juvenile male who had run away from a residence along Dorey Street. While police were searching the area, the male had returned home.
- Police unlocked a vehicle along South Second Street for the owner.
- Police received several parking complaints.
- Police served a 302 warrant on a female whom was taken to the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital for an evaluation.
- Police were called to Turnpike Avenue for a female who had reportedly left the hospital. Police were able to locate the female and transport her back to the hospital for treatment.
- Police were called to Dorey Street for children who were reportedly playing on the roadway. Police responded and were unable to locate the children in the roadway.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
- Police received a report about an unwanted male at the Lawrence Park Villages.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at the Economy Inn.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on Coal Hill Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at a Glen Richey residence.
- Police received a report about an overdose.
- Police received a traffic complaint, an alleged DUI, on South Second Street. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute in the Coal Hill area. Further, police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of a vehicle. However, police determined the incident was civil in nature.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute in the Mount Joy Road area.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic on Byers Street and separated both parties.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of someone on Warren Drive. Upon arrival police determined that everything was OK.
- Police received a report about females who were allegedly fighting in the parking lot of the Edgewood Apartments.
- Police received a noise complaint that occurred on West Front Street.
DuBois City
- On Friday, a 21-year-old DuBois man was arrested on charges after an alleged domestic dispute in which he punched his 47-year-old step-father in the face. The victim, police said, suffered a cut below his eye. The man was arraigned and lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police stopped a 31-year-old DuBois man who they allegedly observed stumbling down South Jared Street on Sunday. During their encounter with the man, police found he was under the influence of drugs and in possession of a small amount of marijuana and glassine baggies with suspected heroin and needles. He was taken into custody and released later to a relative; charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- While on patrol Sunday in the 200 block of West Long Avenue, police allegedly observed a female push another female during an apparent argument. Police found that the actor, a 35-year-old Brookville woman, was upset over slipping in vomit while at an establishment on West Long Avenue. The Brookville woman was cited for disorderly conduct and released to a sober friend, police said.
Sandy Township
- On Friday, a 25-year-old DuBois woman reported that she was expecting a package through the mail. When it didn’t come, she discovered it was delivered to her former address on Dixon Avenue. The current resident stated she never received it. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident Friday on Kilmer Road. Upon arrival police found the vehicle on its side and the 53-year-old female driver and one passenger were still trapped inside. Police were able to assist the passenger out of the vehicle; the tow truck was able to upright the vehicle so the driver could get out. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- A Kiwanis Trail resident reported that someone ran into and damaged their mailbox on Friday.
- A vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Treasure Lake woman pulled out of Columbus Court Saturday in Treasure Lake and into the path of a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old Treasure lake woman, causing the two to collide. No injuries were reported and one of the vehicles was towed from the scene, police said.
