Deborah A. Boyd, 64, of Philipsburg died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at her home.
Born March 12, 1951 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William and Shirley (Ward) Pitzer. She married Paul E. Boyd on Aug. 3, 1974 in New Castle. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2012.
She was a member of the South Philipsburg Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and mother, and she enjoyed reading and cross-stitching. She was a graduate of the Neshannock High School in New Castle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Pilleny.
She is survived by four daughters, Erica Boyd and her companion, Dennis Weld, Sarah Strouse and her husband, Doug, Paula Johnson and Danielle Webster, all of Philipsburg, and two sons, Robert Boyd of Indianapolis, Ind., and Aaron Boyd and his wife, Ashley of North Adams, Mass.
She is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Wallace and her husband, Bob of North Reading, Mass., and Kathy Perrotta and her husband, Randy of New Castle and one brother, John Pitzer and his wife, Janet of New Castle. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Scott R. Hartsock officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
