The world lost another beautiful soul and heaven gained a perfect angel when Michael Andrew Gavlock III, 22, of Frenchville passed away Friday, March 13, 2015.

He was born Feb. 16, 1993 in Altoona, a son of Michael Jr. and Tina Gavlock of Clearfield and Jamie Graham and her husband, Tim of Frenchville.

He was so loved and went by many names: little Mike, Mikey and last but not least Pookie, the name he was called by family since the day he was born.

Our lips cannot speak how much we miss you. Our hearts cannot tell what to say. God only knows how we miss you in our homes that are lonesome today.

He cherished the love of his family and friends. He was a kind, loving person. He would call you his best friend no matter what your differences were. He did not see culture, ethnic background or disabilities. He saw the love of a friend.

He spent most of his time enjoying life to its fullest potential. He enjoyed working on and riding four-wheelers or fishing at Widow’s Rock with his friends and family, which were two of his favorite pastimes.

Friends and family were his life. Now, in his passing, it is our job to remember and celebrate the love he gave us in return.

In addition to his parents and step-parents, he is survived by two brothers, Timothy Graham and Andrew Gavlock; two great-grandmothers, Carolyn McGovern and Ella Fulmer; his grandparents, Billy and Patricia Rowles; a grandmother, Deborah McGonigal; an aunt, Mandy Helsel; three uncles, Robert Gavlock, Tony English and JR McCracken; and many other close family members.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers whom he will meet at the gates of heaven, James Leslie Irvin and Michael Andrew Gavlock Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, 113 N. Third St., Clearfield.

“Where I have gone I am not so small. My soul is as wide as the world is tall. I have gone to answer the call; the call of the One who takes care of us all. Wherever you look, you will find me there – In the heart of a rose, in the heart of a prayer. On butterflies’ wings, on wings of my own, to you, I’m gone, but I’m never alone. I am now home.”
