Melinda C. Patterson, 37, of Philipsburg died Saturday, March 14, 2015.
She was born Aug. 26, 1977 in Clearfield, a daughter of Edmund F. and Carol (Rothrock) Billotte of Woodland.
She graduated from the Clearfield High School in 1995, where she enjoyed playing clarinet in the band. She was most recently employed as the supervisor at Goodwill in Altoona. She previously had been employed at Wal-Mart in Clearfield. She was also a freelance photographer.
In her free time, she enjoyed flea-marketing and antiquing, as well as refurbishing furniture. She attended Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland, and sang with the United Methodist Church Camp Choir.
She also had a special love towards her dogs, Sadie, Brutus, Gizmo and Lilo. Her favorite pastime was watching her son, Jakob, play football.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Shane K. Patterson, whom she wed Sept. 22, 2012 in Raystown Lake, and her son, Jakob Wingate, of Clearfield.
She is survived by five siblings, Tina Billotte and Cindy Donahue and her husband, Pat, both of Clearfield; Edmund D. Billotte and his wife, Brenda of Clarksville, Tenn.; Regina Puzzuto and her husband, Tom of Curwensville; and Diana Jenkins of California.
She is also survived by her in-laws, Chuck and Barb Patterson of Warriors Mark; a sister-in-law, Crystal Patterson of Warriors Mark; numerous nieces and nephews; one great-nephew; two great-nieces; and numerous aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Naomi Rothrock, and her paternal grandparents, Edmund W. and Rhoda Billotte.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Pastor Sean Patrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
