William M. Shaw, 59, of DuBois died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born June 3, 1955, he was the son of William “Sonny” Shaw and Peggy (Foltz) Shaw. His mother survives and lives in DuBois.
On Sept. 29, 1989, he married Kelly (Wyno) Shaw. She survives.
Mr. Shaw worked at Sensus Metering in DuBois for the past 20 years. Prior to that, he had worked for his father at Shaw Trucking.
He was a member of Jefferson County A.B.A.T.E. Chapter 14; the Independent, Political, & Social Club; the Olympic Athletic Club; and the Sandy Hose Company No. 1 Fireman’s Club. He was also a member of the Smith & Wesson Club and enjoyed outdoor activities.
He is survived by his four children, Samantha L. and Brandon R. Shaw, both of DuBois, and William and Robert Curley.
He’s also survived by a sister, Sue Ann Weisner and her husband, Gary of DuBois; three brothers, David L. Shaw of Bethlehem, Timothy J. Shaw and his wife, Linda of Hermitage and Christopher J. Shaw and his wife, Manda of DuBois; and a grandchild.
Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.
