Kathryn Deloris Hooven “Katie” Patton, 74, of Curwensville died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
Born Aug. 2, 1940, she was the daughter of Harry T. and Oleta H. (Marshall) London.
Mrs. Patton was retired from the Curwensville Area School District after 30 years of service in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church.
She was a former member of the Curwensville Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. Auxiliary. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was first wed to John Hooven, who preceded her in death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Peters; and a niece, Christine Peters.
She then wed Gary R. “Skip” Patton on Sept. 18, 1976 in Clearfield, who survives along with three daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Freeman and her husband, William of Curwensville, Barbara Hooven Palumbo of Clearfield and Beverly Bennett of Butler.
Also surviving are 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Fred London and his wife, Donna of Grampian, Ruby Peters of Curwensville, Nancy Barrett and her husband, Dennis of Clearfield and Gary London and his wife, Cherie of New Millport.
There will be no public visitation and a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
The family suggests contributions be made to any of the music and or sports booster clubs of Curwensville Area High School, 602 Beech St., Curwensville, PA 16833.
