CNB Bank Promotes Penoyer to Commercial Banking Officer

CLEARFIELD – Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank, has announced the recent promotion of Katie Penoyer, CTP, to commercial banking officer.

In this position, Penoyer is responsible for the overall management of the bank’s treasury operations, as well as the implementation of treasury management products and services.

She also works closely with business development officers and staff from 39 branch offices of CNB Bank, ERIEBANK and FCBank to promote business-related products and services.

Penoyer joined CNB Bank as a teller in June of 2004 and has since held the positions of universal associate, business services associate and business services specialist.

In January of 2015, Penoyer earned the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation from the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP).  The CTP designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate the highest level of expertise and distinction in treasury management.

“We want to earn the trust of our business customers in an advisory role and accommodate their needs with a smile in this fast-paced marketplace,” Bower said.

“Katie’s leadership role within the business services team and expertise in treasury management will be instrumental in the growth of our business offerings.  She is a key member of the team and we are pleased to recognize her efforts.”

A native of Clearfield, Penoyer graduated from the Clearfield Area High School in 1999 before earning her Bachelor’s degree at Bucknell University in political science/philosophy in 2003.

Penoyer currently resides in Clearfield with her husband, Bradley, and three children, Benjamin, Addison and Avanelle.  She attends the Hyde Wesleyan Church.

Penoyer lends her time and talents through involvement with the Chamber of Commerce of Clearfield Board of Governors and service as board president for the Clearfield Revitalization Corp.
