CLEARFIELD – Local firefighter Jeffrey Buck, 18, of Clearfield remains hospitalized in critical condition at UPMC Altoona, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Buck was critically injured March 3 while fighting a house fire in the 700 block of Daisy Street, Clearfield. Further, Buck was one of three Lawrence Township firefighters who were trapped when a porch roof collapsed while crews battled the house fire.
Officials with Clearfield County Emergency Services announced Friday that the Lawrence Township Fire Company No. 1 and the Clearfield Borough Fire Department have established an account to collect donations for Buck and his family.
With exception to legitimate businesses and organizations, individuals who wish to help Buck and his family are encouraged to do so through the account established with Clearfield Bank & Trust.
Donations can be made through any CB&T location by requesting a deposit into the “Jeffrey Buck Fund.”
Spaghetti Dinner Benefit
A spaghetti dinner will benefit the Buck family on March 21. It will be held from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Glen Richey Fire Hall.
Dinners are $7 for adults and $3 for children. Take-out dinners will be available.
There will also be 50/50 chances and a Chinese auction.
Party for the Poole Family
A “Party for the Poole Family” will be held April 10 at the Place of the Rocks Roadhouse, Grampian. It will take place from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Members of the Poole family were displaced from their house on Daisy Street and lost everything in the fire.
The cover charge for the party is $5 with proceeds to benefit the Poole family. There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 chances and more.
The “Party for the Poole Family” will include music, dancing and fun with a “pool theme.”
