CNB Bank Promotes Johnston to Assistant VP/Credit Administration

CLEARFIELD – Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank, has announced the recent promotion of Cory Johnston to assistant vice president/credit administration.

In this position, Johnston manages the Credit Administration Department at the main office in downtown Clearfield. He applies his expertise by reviewing financial statements for commercial loans, assisting loan officers in the preparation of loan requests and underwriting commercial loan packages.

In this capacity, Johnston and his staff support lenders from 39 branch offices of CNB Bank, ERIEBANK and FCBank.

Johnston joined CNB in 2006 as a credit analyst. Prior to joining CNB, he was employed as a staff accountant with Sharkey Piccirillo Keen & Hanzely LLP, an accounting firm located in Dubois.

“Cory’s leadership and knowledge has been instrumental in accomplishing bank wide goals and objectives,” Bower said.  “He displays a great work ethic, and we are pleased to recognize his effort and ability.”

A native of Curwensville, Johnston graduated from Curwensville Area High School in 2000 before attaining his Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Gannon University in 2003.

Johnston currently resides in Clearfield with his wife, Devon, and daughters, Eloise, Dinah and Audra.
