Account Established to Collect Donations for Injured Firefighter

CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 and the Clearfield Borough Fire Department have established an account to collect donations for injured firefighter Jeffrey Buck, according to the Clearfield County Department of Emergency Services.

Buck, who remains hospitalized at UPMC Altoona, was critically injured Tuesday morning while fighting a fire in the 700 block of Daisy Street in Clearfield Borough. Donations can be made through any Clearfield Bank & Trust location by requesting to deposit into the “Jeffrey Buck Fund.”

With the exception of legitimate businesses and organizations conducting fundraisers, individuals who wish to donate are urged to use the account at Clearfield Bank & Trust. Individuals are urged to avoid donating to those who claim to be representing Buck or his family.

Boots for Buck

On Saturday, the Philipsburg Fire Department will hold a boot drive for Buck and his family.

It will begin at 9 a.m. at the intersection near Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough.

All proceeds will benefit Buck and his family.
