Clearfield Borough
- While conducting overnight checks, police located an open door at a business. Police were able to get in touch with a key holder who responded to the scene and secured the door properly.
- Police responded to Nichols Street where a person had keys locked inside a vehicle.
- Police responded to a parking complaint along Bigler Avenue.
- Police were called to East Cherry Street to check the welfare of a female who was reportedly standing in the roadway. Prior to arrival at the scene, police were advised that the female had been picked up by a family member.
- Police were called to West Sixth Street for a report about a male who was snow-blowing snow onto the roadway. Police responded to the location and spoke to the male.
- Police assisted a male in locating his keys that were lost in the area of River Road and West Front Street.
- Police handled an alleged incident of harassment that was taking place over the phone.
- Police were called to Pennsylvania Avenue for two suspicious people who were allegedly speaking to a homeowner about restaurants in the area. The males had left prior to police arrival at the scene.
- Police responded to Holmes Avenue for an alleged trespassing complaint. Police were able to handle the incident at the scene.
- Police encountered a suspicious vehicle located in the Clearfield Driving Park. Police made contact with the driver who had pulled over due to being tired.
- Police assisted the fire department with a reported fire along West First Avenue.
- Police responded to Polk Street where wires were reportedly down. Police, along with the fire department, were able to secure the wires to keep them from being a traffic hazard.
- Police responded to a minor accident in the area of East Cherry and South Third streets. Upon arrival police found that the operator of one vehicle stopped for a red light and another behind them failed to, causing the accident. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene, police said.
- Police handled a parking complaint along East Cherry Street.
- Police were called to South Second Street for a noise complaint. Upon arrival police made contact with the tenants, advising them of the complaint.
- Police responded to Reed Street for juveniles who were allegedly throwing snowballs at an apartment. Police searched the area and were unable to locate anyone.
- Police checked on a suspicious vehicle along North Fourth Street.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute at an East Market Street apartment. Upon arrival police found a couple had engaged in a verbal dispute.
- Police handled several traffic complaints related to snow piles and roadway conditions. Police were assisted on these incidents by the Street Department.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a tractor-trailer parked in the turning lane on Route 879. Upon arrival police had the operator move the tractor-trailer.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call. Upon investigation police it had been an accidental dial.
- Police received a report about found property; the property owner is known to police.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam. Further, the caller claimed to be from the IRS and threatened to have the victim arrested if they do not pay money.
- Police received a report about icy roadway conditions.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
DuBois City
- Between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to four motorist assistance calls, six parking complaints and five non-reportable accidents. Most incidents were weather-related, police said.
- Police received a report Monday about an alleged domestic disturbance in the 200 block of South Brady Street. It involved a 50-year-old DuBois man and his 49-year-old girlfriend who left prior to police arrival. Police found they had only argued and no physical altercation had occurred; no charges were filed as a result.
- Police received a report Monday about an alleged domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Williams Street. It allegedly involved a physical altercation between a 19-year-old DuBois woman and her estranged 22-year-old boyfriend during an exchange of a child. Both claimed the other was the aggressor, said police, noting the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm Monday at Shankel’s Pharmacy on West Long Avenue. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about a residential alarm Monday in the 400 block of West DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival police found family members had activated the alarm.
- On Tuesday, a Chevrolet Malibu, which was parked in the 100 block of South Highland Street, was struck by another vehicle. Upon impact it knocked off the driver’s side mirror. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report Tuesday about an alleged domestic dispute in the first block of West Washington Avenue. Further, police indicated there had been a 911 hang-up from the residence. Upon arrival at the scene, police found a young child had been playing with his mother’s phone.
