Norma J. Baumgardner, 82, of Windy Hill Village and formerly of Gearhartville, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at Windy Hill Village.
Born March 24, 1932 at Pleasant Hill, Philipsburg RD, she was a daughter of the late John Martin and Carmel Mae (Dixon) Greenawalt.
She was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, West Decatur. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
On Feb. 29, 1948 in Morrisdale, she married Grant L. Baumgardner, whom preceded her in death June 3, 1991.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis G. Baumgardner and his wife, Loretta of Oxford and John O. Baumgardner and his wife, Sue A. of Gearhartville and three daughters, Leslie D. Beres and her husband, Ted and Carmen J. Cowher and her husband, Steven, both of Sandy Ridge, and Lorie A. Brown and her husband, Norman of State College.
She is also survived by a brother, Robert M. Greenawalt and his wife, Carmen of Philipsburg RD; two sisters, Donna Shields of Chester Hill and Sandra Maurer and her husband, John of Philipsburg; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death a brother, Jack Eugene Greenawalt Sr. and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Mark Thumma officiating.
Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
