Fork Ridge Ranch: A Total Loss after Early Morning Fire

GIRARD TOWNSHIP – A hunting lodge has been deemed a total loss following an early morning fire Sunday.

Crews from LeContes Mills, Goshen, Karthaus, Morris Township, Bigler/Jackson/Woodland, Glen Richey, Hyde, Lawrence Township, Chester Hill, Winburne and Columbia Volunteer Fire Companies were called to the Fork Ridge Ranch at around 2:35 a.m. Sunday for a fire at the hunting camp located at 4757 Gillingham Rd., in Girard Township. Several additional units from Centre County were also dispatched to assist with stand-by assignments.

State Police: Victim Allegedly Assaulted in Robbery, Theft Incident

GRAHAM TOWNSHIP – The state police at Clearfield have initiated an investigation into an alleged robbery/assault/theft incident that occurred Friday on Deer Creek Road in Graham Township.

CLEARFIELD – A 23-year-old man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl has pleaded guilty in Clearfield County Court.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Feb. 13, Billie Jo Kniseley, 37, 6397 Route 322, Reynoldsville, is charged by the Sandy Township police with accidents involving death or personal injury and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.

DUBOIS – The state police at DuBois would like to warn residents of both Clearfield and Jefferson counties about tax scams occurring in the area.

Two Facing Charges for Laptop Theft

DUBOIS – A DuBois man and woman are facing charges following the theft of a laptop computer.

According to affidavits of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Feb. 9, Jack Paul Anderson II, 26, 3406 Wayne Rd., DuBois and Brittany Mercedes Ross, 23, 411 Spring Ave., DuBois, are charged by the DuBois City police with burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal trespass and criminal conspiracy.
