On Thursday afternoon the Twitter-verse first exploded with news of two llamas running wild in Sun City, Arizona. #Llama was trending worldwide almost immediately and over 220K llama drama tweets were sent in less than 24 hours.
Just when the Internet thought it got it’s gold for the day, a picture of a dress appeared on Tumblr and the world instantly divided.
Was the dress blue and black or gold and white? Some saw blue, others saw white. This terrifying optical illusion trickery nearly crushed the Internet with 2.4 million tweets in less than 24 hours. (I still don’t know what I see…)
How does the conversation around CPAC compare? Well, it doesn’t. According to data from Twitter, only 160k about CPAC were sent over the last 48 hours.
Sorry, CPAC. You’ve been eclipsed by a dress and some running llamas.
