State police at Clearfield
- An incident of theft from a motor vehicle occurred sometime between Jan. 1 and Monday at a private residence on Laura Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s registration plate from a 2002 Dodge pick-up while it was parked in a yard. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of burglary/theft occurred Monday at a Main Street residence in Falls Creek Borough. Further, the victim has alleged someone entered his unlocked apartment and removed prescription pills while he wasn’t at home. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- An accident occurred Thursday on Route 322 in Winslow Township. Katie E. Rodgers of Reynoldsville was negotiating a left-hand curve when her vehicle’s driver’s side tires traveled over the centerline into the eastbound lane. She steered her vehicle to the right but overcompensated, causing her to lose control. Her vehicle subsequently began to spin counterclockwise for approximately 25 feet before traveling off the roadway and onto the north berm. Her vehicle impacted with a utility pole and then traveled in an eastern direction for about 20 feet into the intersection of Vo-Tech Road where it came to a rest.
- An accident occurred Feb. 18 on Route 28 in Snyder Township. Donna M. McDade of Brockway was traveling north while a snow plow truck was traveling south and plowing the roadway. McDade maneuvered over to the right and applied her brakes, causing her to lose control of her vehicle on the slippery roadway. Her vehicle slid off the right side of the roadway into the deep snow and over an embankment, rolling two to three times before coming to a rest on its wheels. Both McDade and her passenger were wearing their seatbelts; both sustained injuries and were transported for medical treatment, police said. The McDade vehicle was towed from the scene.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Feb. 18 at a Polk Township residence. During the incident, an East Brady man allegedly became violent and threatening toward the victim and others in the household. He allegedly started throwing items and broke a lamp and a door jam. While exiting the residence, the man allegedly head-butted the glass storm door twice before it popped open.
State police at Philipsburg
- On Monday, a small purse was found at the Geisinger Medical Center in Rush Township. It was turned into staff at the medical center and then over to state police. The owner may claim the purse by calling the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370 and describing it and its contents.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about a suspicious person Saturday in the area of Filbert Street. Further, police located a female who was allegedly intoxicated and released her to a responsible person. Police said the female will be cited for public drunkenness.
- Police received a report about custody-related issues Saturday. Further, police made contact with the individuals involved with the issues.
- Police received an animal complaint Saturday, which was handed over to the animal control officer.
