CLEARFIELD – A 23-year-old man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl has pleaded guilty in Clearfield County Court.

Donald Thomas Reid of Philipsburg pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors.

He was sentenced by President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman to five to 10 years in state prison. This sentence will run concurrent with his current sentence of six months to two years in state prison that he received for a probation violation in August.

He was also fined $4 plus costs. He must submit to DNA testing and complete the Project Point of Light program.

The charges stem from an incident in Decatur Township in February of 2013.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, in the early morning hours the victim was watching television and listening to music in the basement of her home. At approximately 3 a.m. she received a phone call from Reid asking how she was doing and if he could come to her house. She agreed and he arrived at the Decatur Township home at 5 a.m.

They sat on the couch in the basement and talked. He then laid her down and began fondling her. She asked him to stop but he didn’t and sexually assaulted her. After this, they both went outside and smoked a cigarette. They returned to the couch and fell asleep.

At 6:20 a.m. the victim’s grandfather went into the basement and found Reid there. He woke them up and pulled Reid from the couch. Reid then pushed the grandfather and ran from the home.

When he was interviewed by police in June, he admitted to engaging in consensual intercourse with the victim and said he was aware she was 13 years old at the time of the incident.

Reid is also facing multiple charges in a case in Centre County, according to court documents.
