State police at Clearfield
- An incident of harassment and criminal mischief occurred Friday on Heverly Boulevard in Beccaria Township. During the incident, a 49-year-old Coalport man allegedly shoved the victim into a wall and slammed a door into it, causing damage to both the wall and door at Tomorrow’s Hope. The man was charged for the incident, state police said.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 eastbound at mile-marker 120 in Lawrence Township. Kyleigh N. Bowman of Clearfield was traveling in the right-hand lane over a bridge when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy conditions. Her vehicle subsequently collided with the bridge rail. She was wearing her seatbelt; however, she sustained minor injuries. She was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for treatment. Bowman’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 east of the Clearfield – Shawville Highway in Lawrence Township. The motorist was exiting the roadway when they lost control of their vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, state police said.
- An accident occurred Saturday on the Krebs Highway in Boggs Township. Isiah J. Cutler of Clearfield was negotiating a left-hand curve when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. His vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree head-on. Cutler was wearing his seatbelt and his airbags deployed; however, he sustained minor injuries. Cutler was also cited for the accident, state police said.
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on Route 729 south in the area of Elizabeth Street in Beccaria Township. During the incident, a 20-year-old Coalport man was allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An accident occurred during white out snow conditions Saturday on Interstate 99 south in Huston Township. Alex R. Hunsaker of West Decatur was following a tractor-trailer and another sports utility vehicle when his vehicle was rear-ended by a Jeep Cherokee operated by Gregory W. Fravel of Port Matilda. The Hunsaker and Fravel vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police issued several parking tickets for different violations.
- Police assisted Clearfield-Jefferson Mental Health with serving a warrant on an individual along Spruce Street. The male had to be physically restrained while he was allegedly attempting to bite officers, police said. He was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
- Police were called to East Walnut Street to assist a resident who had handcuffed his girlfriend and was not in possession of a key to release them.
- Police were called to the hospital for a mental health patient who was allegedly being aggressive towards staff and threatening to leave. Police responded and assisted staff with calming the patient down.
- Police were called to East Cherry Street for an alleged break-in attempt. The caller stated that he heard noises downstairs. Police responded and found that everything was OK.
- Police were called for an accident at the intersection of Spruce Street and Route 879. Police arrived and found the accident had occurred in Lawrence Township and its officers were summoned to the scene.
- Police received a call from a resident who had allegedly witnessed a vehicle travel through a stop sign and fail to stop.
- Police were called to an alleged domestic incident along Elk Avenue. Police responded and as a result of the altercation a male was arrested for harassment and disorderly conduct.
- Police are investigating an alleged theft where a registration plate was misplaced or stolen.
- Police responded to Hannah Street for a possible flue fire. Upon arrival police were advised by fire personnel that the fire was out.
- Police responded to a minor accident along East Locust and North Fourth streets after a vehicle backed onto the roadway, striking another vehicle.
- Police responded to a minor accident at the intersection of West Sixth and Clearfield streets. Further, a vehicle pulled from the stop sign, causing another vehicle to avoid impact.
- Police responded to an alleged dispute along East Locust Street. Upon arrival police determined that it was verbal in nature. The female was transported to a friend’s residence for the evening, police said.
- Police assisted a motorist who became stuck in a snow bank along Park Avenue.
- Police responded to a report about an intoxicated male who was allegedly refusing to leave an establishment along North Third Street. It was also reported that the male had damaged multiple items inside. The male was taken into custody and transported to the CCJ. Charges are being filed on the male, police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged fraudulent check.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute in the area of Whisky Hill in Glen Richey.
- Police received a report about a deer struck by a vehicle in the area of the Shawville – Croft Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of sexual harassment. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute in the Glen Richey area. The incident was handled at the scene, police said.
- Police have initiated an investigation into an alleged incident of harassment and disorderly conduct at Wal-Mart. Further, a female was allegedly approached and threatened by a male while she was at the store. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on Route 879, the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged dispute/unwanted person at a Riverview Road residence.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident along Route 879 near Spruce Street.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual at Snappy’s Convenience Store.
- Police received a report about a possible structure fire. However, police were cancelled while en route to the scene.
- Police received a report about an alarm at CNB Bank on South Second Street. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Washington Avenue. One person was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail with charges pending, police said.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on Coal Hill Road/Armor Street. No injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a local business.
- Police investigated a suspicious vehicle along Old Penfield Road.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance on State Street. Upon investigation police found it was verbal in nature.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of cash from an Irvin Hill residence.
- Police received a report about an unknown male who allegedly walked into a Ridge Avenue residence. He left the residence without incident; the incident occurred several hours before it was reported to police. Police would like to urge residents to contact them immediately under these circumstances.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the area of Oak and Anderson streets. A parked Dodge van was damaged after it was struck by another vehicle, which fled the scene. Anyone who witnessed the van in the Oak Street area exiting the elementary end of the school is asked to contact police.
- Police received a report about an alleged prowler in the area of Schofield Street between Elizabeth Street and Bonnie Court. Upon arrival police searched the area and didn’t locate him. Also, police determined there weren’t any signs of anyone being in the area.
- Police received a report about an alleged party involving people under the age of 21 years at the Curwensville Commons. As a result, one male was cited for underage consumption, police said.
DuBois City
- On Friday, police received a report about an alleged theft from a residence in the 100 block of South Brady Street. The complainant told police a family member had taken prescription medication that belonged to another family member. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute Friday in the 100 block of Spring Avenue. The incident was resolved prior to police arrival at the scene.
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly intoxicated on West Long Avenue on Saturday. He was stopped along South Jared Street and arrested for public drunkenness, police said.
- Police served a warrant on a male Saturday on North Main Street. He was transported to the CCJ without incident, police said.
- Police received an animal complaint Saturday in the 100 block of Hill Street. The complainant, police said, was concerned about the safety of a dog in the neighborhood. Police contacted its owner to verify the proper care of the dog.
- On Saturday, police received a report about property that was allegedly damaged in the 300 block of Daly Street. The complainant told police that a known male damaged an apartment inside the building. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- On Saturday, police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communication. The complainant told police he’d received a harassing message from a known male. The male was advised to have no further contact with the complainant, police said.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident Sunday in the 700 block of West Washington Avenue. The complainant told police her vehicle was parked along her residence and damaged during the early morning hours. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a possible mental health issue Sunday in the 600 block of Sunflower Drive. Further, a female was transported to the hospital for treatment and police cleared the scene without incident.
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly intoxicated and sleeping inside his vehicle Sunday on Shaffer Avenue. The male was determined to be intoxicated and arrested for public drunkenness, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged verbal domestic dispute Sunday in the 100 block of Spring Avenue. Upon arrival police made contact with individuals and found there weren’t any problems.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident Sunday on Hubert Street. The complainant’s vehicle was parked along the street and side-swiped sometime during the day; the incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications on Sunday. The complainant told police she received a harassing phone call from a known female. Police advised the female to have no further contact with the complainant.
Sandy Township
- On Friday, a 59-year-old Wayne Road resident reported that she heard an unknown individual on her porch. Upon arrival police were unable to locate anyone suspicious in the area.
- A 53-year-old Harper Road resident reported loud music coming from a neighbor’s residence. Upon arrival police found that the music had stopped.
- Several area businesses turned in counterfeit $100 bills. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A vehicle driven by 49-year-old Treasure Lake woman pulled from the First Baptist Church driveway onto Maple Avenue and into the path of a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old DuBois woman, causing the two to collide on Friday. The Treasure Lake woman was transported to Penn Highlands by ambulance; the 25-year-old was taken by private vehicle, police said.
- A 24-year-old South Main Street woman reported her boyfriend took her vehicle without permission on Saturday. The vehicle was later found in Cambria County. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A 52-year-old tractor trailer driver reported his truck was hit by another one driven by a 26-year-old Pekin, Ill., man while it was parked at the Pilot. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
- Treasure Lake Security reported that a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Treasure Lake man backed into a Treasure Lake snow plow driven by a 31-year-old employee. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- On Sunday, a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old Falls Creek man was stopped on Route 255 at Platt Road waiting to turn, when it was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Falls Creek man. Major damage was reported and the 25-year-old was transported to Penn Highlands for neck and head injuries, police said.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Your Jewelry Box on Sunday.
