State police at Clearfield
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Wednesday along Shiloh Road in Bradford Township. For unknown reasons, the victim told state police that a small projectile struck the window of the front door of her residence, causing its glass to shatter. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Wednesday on Buck Run Road in Girard Township. Pierre H. Brossard of Frenchville was traveling south when a black pick-up truck, which was traveling north, struck his vehicle on its driver’s side. Upon impact his vehicle traveled off of the right side of the roadway, where it struck a tree. The operator of the other vehicle fled the scene, state police said. Brossard was wearing his seatbelt; he wasn’t injured in the accident. His vehicle sustained severe damage to the front end and was towed from the scene. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- An accident occurred Wednesday on the Sandy Valley Road in Washington Township. Melanie Frank of DuBois was traveling eastbound on a downhill grade and negotiating a right-hand curve in the roadway. While slowing her vehicle to do so, it slid across the oncoming lane of travel and up an embankment along the north side of the roadway. At this point, her vehicle overturned due to the grade of the embankment; it spun on its roof 180 degrees before coming to a rest. No injuries were reported and the Frank vehicle was towed from the scene, state police said.
- An accident occurred Wednesday on Pancoast Road in Washington Township. Further, a vehicle was traveling south and negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway. As the operator attempted to slow the vehicle to do so, it started to slide and exited the west side of the roadway. There, the vehicle struck a tree head-on and spun in a clockwise rotation before coming to a final rest. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, state police said.
- An incident of scattering rubbish occurred sometime Tuesday or Wednesday on Bottom Road in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly discarded an amount of rubbish, including tires and old broken furniture, along the roadway. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- On Tuesday, a known 26-year-old man was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia when state police responded to a domestic disturbance on Main Street in Falls Creek Borough.
Clearfield Borough
- Police have initiated an investigation into an abandoned vehicle that has been parked along Crozier Avenue. Police have also initiated steps to have the vehicle removed from the scene.
- Police responded to West Locust Street where a vehicle was parked partially on the roadway, causing a traffic hazard. Police contacted the owner and had them move the vehicle off of the roadway.
- Police received a report about an alleged fight on West Pine Street. Upon arrival police interviewed several individuals about the incident, which remains under investigation at this time.
- Curwensville Borough police stopped a male who had an active warrant through the Clearfield Borough police. The male was able to address the warrant, police said.
- Police handled a parking complaint along Cumberland Street.
- Police received a noise complaint that occurred on South Second Street. Upon arrival police were unable to make contact with the individual who was causing the noise.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School and assisted with unlocking a bus van.
- Police responded to a minor traffic accident in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot.
- Police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call from a Glen Richey residence. Further, police found a child was playing with the phone.
Sandy Township
- On Monday, a Treasure Lake man reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Basil Rock Court. The vehicle was gone prior to his report about it, police said. He also reported that the occupants were not doing anything and just sitting in the vehicle.
- Police investigated a 9-1-1 call from Treasure Lake on Monday. The call, police said, was from an elderly lady who wanted to speak to her son. Upon arrival at the residence, police determined everything was OK and the woman’s daughter helped her call her son.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Tuesday at Your Jewelry Box.
- On Tuesday, a Treasure Lake man reported that there were three males trying to break into his Jeep. The males were gone upon police arrival.
