CLEARFIELD – Members of the Clearfield Fire Department were dispatched for the smell of smoke at the Clearfield YMCA this afternoon.
The smell of smoke originated in the basement area of the YMCA and is believed to be electrical in nature. Penelec has been notified and is expected to respond to the YMCA, said fire officials.
The Clearfield YMCA staff reacted quickly and handled the situation very well, said fire officials. Clearfield YMCA staff said facilities remain open at this time.
