Karen M. Mills, 66, of Philipsburg died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg. Born Nov. 21, 1948 in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of Regina Margaret (Dillon) Gutshall of Huntingdon, and the late Donald Frederick Gutshall.
She was a 1966 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School and attended the Philipsburg Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the Red Cross Disaster Team. Together with her husband, they owned the former Transfer Express, Philipsburg.
On Nov. 13, 1971 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Osceola Mills, she married Ernest Lee “Ernie” Mills, who survives at home.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jackie K. Mills of Philipsburg; fur babies, Abby Gale and Frankenstein “Bubba;” a sister, Donna K. Isenberg and her husband, Larry of Huntingdon; and a niece, Amy Merritts and her husband, Steve of Huntingdon.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Sharen L. Gutshall and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. John Versaw officiating.
Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
