Miller-English Waives Hearing in Statutory Sexual Assault Case

CLEARFIELD – A 20-year-old Curwensville man accused of statutory sexual assault waived his right to a preliminary hearing during Centralized Court on Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

Jordan Michael Miller-English, 20, of Curwensville is also charged with indecent assault and sell/furnish liquor, etc. to a minor. His bail remains set at $25,000 unsecured.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, state police interviewed the alleged victim on Sept. 6, 2013. She related to state police that she had sexual intercourse with Miller-English in June or July of 2012. She indicated that Miller-English was 18 years old and she was 13 years old at the time.

The alleged victim related that she had said yes to Miller-English; however, her mind wasn’t clear due to her consumption of alcoholic beverages. She related that Miller-English had gone upstairs for alcohol, which she thought was beer and Black Velvet vodka, and had given it to her. The alleged victim related she willingly drank the alcohol.

On July 23, 2014, state police interviewed Miller-English about the alleged incident. He related that he didn’t consume any alcohol but the alleged victim did and there was only beer. Miller-English also related that he didn’t give the alleged victim any alcohol and they didn’t have sexual intercourse.

On Aug. 21, 2014, state police interviewed Miller-English again about the alleged incident. This time he admitted to both he and the alleged victim consuming alcohol on the night in question. Miller-English also admitted to having sexual relations with the alleged victim that night.
