CLEARFIELD – State Reps. Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) and Tommy Sankey (R-Clearfield) are teaming up to save taxpayer dollars and serve the interests of their constituents more efficiently and effectively by sharing a district office in Clearfield. The office is located in Suite 100 at 315 E. Market St., Clearfield.
“Thanks to the changes resulting from legislative redistricting, Clearfield Borough is now right on the border between the districts we represent,” Sankey said. “This office is an ideal location for constituents in the surrounding municipalities, so we decided to share the responsibility.”
Technically, Clearfield Borough is part of the 73rd District, which Sankey represents.
“Opening a new district office in a location slightly north of the borough would have been easy for me to do but completely unnecessary for taxpayers,” added Gabler.
“Sharing the office was an easy decision for us and an example of the way state government should operate by putting what’s best for our constituents first.”
Services offered at the office include assistance with many state-related functions such as birth and death certificates, PACE and PACENET applications for seniors and forms for Pennsylvania’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program (forms for tax year 2014 will be available in mid-February).
