Maurene E. Inlow has announced her candidacy for re-election as the Clearfield County Register of Wills, Clerk of the Orphans’ Court and the Recorder of Deeds on the Republican ticket.

In seeking a third term, she is asking support of Clearfield County’s citizens based on her strong record of accomplishments and the experience of more than 30 years of working in the office.

The primary functions of the recorder of deeds are to record, preserve, protect and reproduce documents relating to real estate. She and her staff are responsible for receipt, custody and disbursement of all state taxes and fees collected by the office.

The office of the Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphans’ Court has a number of responsibilities, including serving as a collection agent for the commonwealth for inheritance tax, probate wills, maintaining and archiving probate records, marriage license, adoptions and guardianships.

Inlow resides in Lawrence Township with her husband, Chuck.  They have two adult children, Laura and Michael.

She is the daughter of the late Kenneth F. and Janice E. Bell. Inlow is an active member of West Side United Methodist Church.

“It has been a great honor and privilege to serve you as Clearfield County’s Register and Recorder,” said Inlow. “I promise to continue my commitment and dedication to the office and put my energy and experience to work for you.”
