Fire Heavily Damages Cooper Twp. Residence

COOPER TOWNSHIP – A fire caused approximately $150,000 worth of damage to a residence at 1048 Grassflat Ave. on Wednesday in Cooper Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Grassflat Fire Department investigated the fire. The fire “heavily damaged” a two-story residence that belonged to Clayton M. Ertmer, 41, Chantel Emnizer, 31, and a young child, all of Morrisdale, state police said.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental in nature. An adult female and a child were both at home at the time, according to state police, who noted there weren’t any injures as a result of the fire.
