- Police assisted the Clearfield Fire Department with a vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital along Turnpike Avenue. The cause, police said, was a cigarette that was not completely put out and caught the front seat on fire. Police said individuals who were at the scene extinguished the fire, which caused minor damage.
- Police responded to a vehicle lockout on North Second Street. Upon arrival police unlocked the vehicle for the driver.
- Police received a report about a minor accident in the area of North Second and Market streets. Further, the operator of a vehicle was pulling from a parked position when it struck a parked vehicle in front of him. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, police said.
- Police assisted the Pennsylvania State Police with a vehicle stop along North Third Street in which a male was taken into custody on a Domestic Relations warrant. Police transported the male to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police observed a vehicle parked in the Clearfield Driving Park after dark. Police made contact with the individual who stated that he had pulled off to send a text message.
- Police received a report about an accident along West Front Street. Further, the operator of a vehicle lost control on the slushy roadway and rear-ended another vehicle.
- Police received a report that change was removed from a vehicle while it was parked along Clearfield Street. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business along East Market Street.
- Police received a report about an automated alarm on East Market Street. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft from a motor vehicle parked on Clearfield Street. Further, a small amount of change was removed from the vehicle, police said.
- Police investigated a minor accident on High Street. Further, a vehicle was being operated on a private driveway and slid off the roadway, striking shrubbery. Towing services assisted at the scene, police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an accident on North Second Street.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred at the intersection of Supercenter Drive and Route 879. Further, a vehicle driven by Edward Hubler of Morrisdale was yielding from traffic to enter Route 879. While doing so, his vehicle was rear-ended by a Chevrolet truck. Both operators exited their vehicles; the second provided his name and phone number. After that both operators left the scene, police said. When Hubler attempted to contact the other operator, he found the number had been disconnected or changed. Police will review surveillance in an attempt to identify the operator.
