CLEARFIELD – Staff members at Visit Clearfield County (VCC) have announced the weekly events for Jan. 23-29.

Ritz Theater, downtown Clearfield

Monday-Sunday

The theater’s lobby opens at 6:30 p.m. You can grab some popcorn, even if you cannot attend the movie showings. For movies and show times, please call 814-765-5835.  Prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children (12 years and under) and senior citizens (60 years and older).

Trail Blazer Adventures

Trail Blazer Adventures has announced 2015 Winter Adventures, including XC ski and snowshoe, weather conditions permitting, through March 15.

Trail Blazer Adventures will meet at Aletta’s Farm Market (located on the Curwensville/Grampian Highway) every Sunday at 2 p.m. to snowshoe/XC-ski the Clearfield/Grampian Rail-Trail or Bilger’s Rocks Trails.

After trail-blazing at your own pace, everyone will meet at the Place of Rocks Roadhouse for refreshments.

The Rescue Hose & Ladder Co. of Curwensville will host a breakfast buffet on Sunday, Jan. 25. The buffet will be open from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; admission is $6.50 for adults, kids under 5 years are free and seniors get a 10 percent discount. All proceeds benefit the Rescue Hose & Ladder Co.

At 11 a.m. Tuesdays, there will be “Thrilling Threes” with Miss Chris & Miss Jayme:  Children will enjoy stories, songs, finger-plays and fun. Children will work on their independence while their parents can enjoy the library.

At 10 a.m. Thursdays, there will be “Terrific Twos” with Miss Becky. Children who are 2 year olds and their parent or caregiver will enjoy this fun-filled storytime packed with books, songs and finger-plays.

At 11 a.m. Thursdays, there will be “Fantastic Fours & Fives” with Miss Chris & Miss Sandy.  Children will get ready for school with stories, songs and games galore.  Children will work on their independence while their parents can enjoy the library.

The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) will hold its sixth annual community gathering on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the St. Charles Café. A meet-and-greet will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. and the meeting from 5:15 p.m. until 6 p.m. The CRC community gathering is open to residents, volunteers, business owners, employees and social clubs.
