CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man accused of faking an overdose waived his right to a preliminary hearing during Centralized Court on Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

Kyle Andrew Wilson, 21, of Clearfield has been charged with false alarm to agency of public safety, disorderly conduct and intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Clearfield Borough police were dispatched to a possible overdose on March 12, 2014. Upon arrival police allegedly found Wilson lying on the kitchen floor and acting as though he was going in and out of consciousness.

When police asked questions of him, Wilson allegedly answered but acted like he was again going in and out of consciousness. When asked by police what he had smoked, Wilson related K-2. Police also allegedly found Wilson in possession of a plastic bag with a small amount of green leafy substance in it.

Emergency personnel arrived and transported Wilson from the scene by ambulance. He was answering questions too clearly to have overdosed, police stated in the affidavit. Wilson also admitted that he “faked the whole thing” to make a female worry about him, as they had engaged in an argument earlier in the day.

Wilson was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital to be evaluated and tested for drugs. Upon evaluation of Wilson, hospital staff advised police that he’d tested positive for marijuana. Wilson was subsequently transported to the CCJ.
