GOSHEN TOWNSHIP – State police at Clearfield are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred sometime between 9 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday in a remote area along Manor Lane in Goshen Township.
During the incident, someone allegedly opened up a valve to an on-site tank, which contained sodium hydroxide. The Department of Environmental Protection subsequently lost approximately 3,500 gallons of sodium hydroxide, state police said.
Damages are estimated at $4,000, according to state police. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
