Sandra L. (Gearhart) Graham, 67, of Aurora, Colo., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 following a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born in Clearfield on Feb. 20, 1947, she was the first child of Oden D. Gearhart and Dorothy (Long) (Gearhart) Byers.
Having graduated from Clearfield High School in 1965, she continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning a degree in teaching.
Even though she was an educator, most of her working years were spent assisting her husband in his certified public accounting firm.
She’s survived by her beloved husband, James M. Graham, whom she married Nov. 9, 1968 in Clearfield, and their son, Michael J. Graham and his wife, Tammy of Cheyenne, Wyo.
Also surviving are her mother, Dorothy L Byers of Clearfield; her siblings, Betsy (Randy) Guthrie of Mineral Springs; R. Denning Gearhart of Oil City; Dan (Betsy) Gearhart and William (Gigi) Gearhart, both of Clearfield; and Carrol (Gary) Davis of Spring Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oden D. Gearhart; her step-father, William Byers; her niece, Jenny Gearhart; and her great-nephew, Jacob Guthrie.
She had a sweet smile and infectious giggle and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association, the National Juvenile Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Following cremation, a memorial service is being planned for a later date in Clearfield.
