Jennie “Jean” M. Bell, 85, of DuBois died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born May 23, 1929 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Gustava and Antoinette (Martucci) Galiano.
She was married to Harry F. Bell. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1970.
She was a homemaker. She attended the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Prior to that, she was a member of the St. Martin of Tours in Philadelphia.
She loved to sew, cook and garden. She also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by four children, Harry F. Bell of DuBois, Jean M. Derr and her husband, Robert of Longhorn, Linda J. McNaulty and her husband, John of Mickleton, NJ and Stephen J. Bell and his wife, Lisa of Wilmington, Del.
She is survived by nine grandchildren, Harry, Robert, Michael, Lindsay, Melanie, John, Sidra, Rysa and Stefan and five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Erin, Rylie, Jeremy and Bobby.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, an infant brother and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in New Cathedral Cemetery in Philadelphia.
