LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – The investigation is continuing into a fatal fire that occurred at 12:50 a.m. Monday at 214 Moose St. in Lawrence Township, reported the state police at Ridgway.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Lawrence Township police investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire destroyed a wooden-framed, single family residence, state police said.
State police identified Margaret J. Vogel, 74, of Clearfield, as the victim who was unable to escape and found deceased inside the residence by fire personnel. Damage has been estimated at $200,000.
