Clearfield Salvation Army Falls Short of Bell Ringing Goal

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Salvation Army raised $43,099.36 toward its Red Kettle goal of $45,000 for the 2014 Christmas season.

Major Sharon Harford shared, “Although we are approximately $2,000 short of our goal, we are still very happy with the funds we’ve raised. I appreciate all of the hard work that everyone put into helping us in our fundraising effort.

“There were many groups and individuals who deserve to be recognized for their hard work.”  Harford recognized Sherry Daub as the Salvation Army’s bell ringing coordinator and Samantha Hunter for her “tireless effort” sharing about the Salvation Army and helping raise funds in new places.

Salvation Army volunteers will be honored for their hard work during the 2014 Christmas season at a banquet to be held in April, stated Harford. She added, “I will trust God to provide the rest of the funds needed to meet the goal.  We say thank you to all of the community for its contributions to the agency.”
