Win VIP Parking and Cash by Submitting Your Best PA Farm Show Snapshots in Photo Contest

HARRISBURG – Capture the spirit of the 2015 Pennsylvania Farm Show in a photograph and submit it for the annual photo contest for the chance to win cash and a VIP experience at the 100thanniversary show in 2016.

“With thousands of animals and exhibits and 500,000 visitors coming to this year’s Farm Show, millions of memories will be made,” said Agriculture Secretary George Greig. “Show us what makes the Farm Show special for you. Capture your favorite image and submit the snapshot for our annual contest.”

Anyone visiting the show is eligible, and the top three entries will be featured in the 2016 Pennsylvania Farm Show Visitor’s Guide. The first-place winner receives $100and a VIP parking space for the 2016 show. The second-place winner receives a $75cash prize, and the third-place winner earns a $50 prize.

Contest guidelines:

The 2014 winner was Cheryl Bair of Monroeton, Bradford County, with
“1 – A Beautiful Tribute to America,” featuring a flagbearer mounted on horseback. Second-place honors went to Christa McCusker of Reading, Berks County, with “20 – Our time will come, but until then, we’ll just rest,” featuring a boy and his Longhorn calf sleeping. Third place went to Diana Fraser of Finksburg, Md., with “11 – Farm Show Veteran,” featuring a older man sitting on a straw bale.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural event in the nation, featuring nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibitors.
