Mildred J. Rutkowski, 83, of DuBois died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at her home.
Born Feb. 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Radzik) Skraba.
On Sept. 17, 1955, she married Edward F. Rutkowski. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2012.
She was a 1949 graduate of the DuBois Area High School. She retired from the Brockway Glass Company after 25 years of service.
She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was active in many church affairs and a member of the Rosary infant of Prague Society.
She was an avid polka dancer and a member of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Polka Club. She enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her son, Joseph E. Rutkowski and his wife, Veronica Lisciandro of Westerville, Ohio and two grandchildren, Maria Parrish and her husband, Kristopher and their son Kaseton, and Kristin Rutkowski and her fiancé, Mike Green and his son, Brennan.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Irene Zinzella, Steve Skraba, Frances Shaw, Henry Skraba and his wife, Darlene, Josephine Smith, Carolyn Robertson and her husband, Timothy and John Skraba and his wife, Josephine, all of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Sickeri and brothers, Alex Skraba and Raymond Skraba.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery.
