Obama, who’s traveled to the East African nation in the past as senator, will attend a global summit before heading to Ethiopia.

LOUISIANA SHOOTING

Movie theater attack: As the previews ended and the lights dimmed for a screening of the comedy “Trainwreck,” a man stood up inside a Lafayette movie theater, pulled out a handgun and fired indiscriminately. The shooter, a 58-year-old white man, killed two people and wounded seven others at the Louisiana multiplex last night before he took his own life, police said.

Autopsy results: The cause of Sandra Bland’s death was hanging; the manner of death was suicide, a prosecutor said, citing preliminary autopsy results. Bland, whose arrest and death in custody stirred anger nationwide, did not have injuries on her hands. Such injuries are typical in cases of violent homicide.
