State police at Clearfield
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime between Dec. 21 and Wednesday in the back parking lot of County Market in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed an aluminum freezer coil from the parking lot. The total value of the stolen item is approximately $300, state police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Wednesday on the Viola Pike in Gulich Township. Further, the operator of a truck was traveling southbound when it crossed over into the northbound lane, striking the mirror on a Chevrolet Suburban. The operator then fled the scene, state police said.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of harassment occurred Wednesday on Blue Jay Drive in Union Township. During the incident, two Penfield residents allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical dispute with the victim.
- An incident of DUI occurred Friday on Airport Road in Washington Township. During the incident, a 23-year-old Sigel man was stopped for several summary traffic violations. Upon speaking with him, state police detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The man was subsequently arrested for DUI and other summary charges; he refused to submit to a blood test, state police sad.
- An incident of DUI occurred on the Bee Line Highway in DuBois City. During the incident, a 34-year-old DuBois man was stopped for a summary traffic violation. Upon investigation state police detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The man was subsequently arrested for DUI and other summary charges pending blood test results, state police said.
State police at Ridgway
- A single-vehicle accident occurred Wednesday on Montmorenci Road in Jones Township. Fuzzy Holmes of Ridgway was traveling southbound and negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway at a speed greater than prudent, causing his vehicle to crash into the guiderail. Upon a preliminary investigation, Holmes was arrested for DUI and transported for a blood test at the Kane Community Hospital. Charges are to be filed through the district court, state police said.
