Verna E. “Dolly” Fundanish, 86, of Philipsburg died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born Nov. 12, 1928 in Wallaceton, the daughter of Benjamin and Flora (Wisor) Parks.

Mrs. Fundanish retired from the former General Cigar Company in Philipsburg in 1986. She was Methodist by Faith.

Mrs. Fundanish is survived by two sons, William “Bill” N. Stephens and his wife, Janet and Emery G. Stephens and his wife, Lisa, both of Clearfield; a daughter-in-law, Linda Stephens of Clearfield; and three step-children, Marjorie Reilly and her husband, William and Kirby Fundanish, both of Coalport, and Herman Fundanish and his wife, Carol of Maryland.

She is survived by six grandchildren, Scott Stephens and his wife, Gina of Pittsburgh, David Stephens and his wife, Mandy and Todd Stephens and his wife, Melanie, both of Philipsburg, Cory Duckett and his wife, Kerri of Clearfield, Dodie Aughenbaugh and her husband, Travis of Palmyra and Stacey Bumbarger and her husband, Fred of Woodland; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is also survived by two sisters; Clair Parks of Oil City and Mary Jane of Seneca.

Mrs. Fundanish was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Fundanish; a son, Donald R. Stephens; a step-child, Connie Naylor; six sisters, Beatrice, Mary, Verda, Eva May, Grace and Erma; and two brothers, Merlin and Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Valley Cemetery, West Decatur.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
